disciplinarian: a very strict person who makes people obey rules or orders and always punishes those who do not obey.

discipline: to punish someone who has broken the rules of an organization that they belong to or work for.

discipline: one of the areas of knowledge such as history, chemistry, economics etc that is studied and taught at a university.

discipline yourself: to control how hard you work, how much exercise you get, much you eat etc because you know it is good for you.
self-discipline: the ability to make yourself work hard, take a lot of exercise, not eat the wrong foods etc because you know it is good for you to do so.

disciplined: movements or actions that are disciplined are carefully controlled, especially because you have been trained to control them.

disciplined: a group of people that is disciplined has developed obedience or has been trained to be obedient.
